Trading Journal

I need to just stay out after a large move like that and wait for the divergences to fully develop.  I ended up trading a choppy and complicated fourth wave when I was looking for a countertrend bounce.  We finally got it in the afternoon session, after I'd pretty much spent my bullets.  Maybe next time I'll just short the VIX after the open.  Sideways movements will bring it back in and when the bounce comes it will really drop.

None of my setups seemed to be working either.  I used tick charts today because things were moving so quickly on the open.  Now I'm not sure about that idea, particularly when used with momentum indicator setups.  Seems like it got me in and out a little early.

UPDATE: I found out later that I apparently shorted a couple contracts by leaving a working offer in the system when I logged off after hitting my loss limit.  By dumb luck it saved the day completely.
